Bagaimana, perlaksanaan solat subuh?

Lengang, sedih, kecewa~sampailah ada yang berani kata;

“Kita solat la,” Kata seseorang.

“Pukul berapa?,”

“Err.. subuh tadi lewat sikit. Lewat bangun, sedar-sedar dah pukul 7.45 pagi!,” Kata seolah-olah bersalah.

Sikap malas bangun awal pagi sebelum subuh sehingga terlepas solat subuh berjemaah berlaku mungkin kerana pelbagai sebab. Berikut antara sebab-sebabnya:

Slogan tersiratnya ialah "what a big deal"?

4. Tidur lewat malam. Tidur lewat maka payahlah nak bangun pagi awal-awal sebelum subuh.

5. Takut mengantuk masa kerja kalau bangun awal sangat, takut sangat terkurang tempoh masa tidur sampai rela lepaskan solat subuh berjemaah di masjid.

10. Tak besungguh nak bangun subuh. Tak tetapkan pun alarm telefon atau jam supaya mudah bangun sebelum subuh.

InsyaAllah, jom bangun subuh awal.

Mari renungi apa yang Rasulullah SAW kata;

(Sahih Muslim 2, #610)

Semoga kita semua menjadi ahli Subuh!

Poster: I'dad Ramadhan

Mari perkemaskan langkah kita sebelum waktunya tiba!

1- I’dad Ruhi, yakni persiapan Rohani (Soul) dan Jasadi (Body).

Dosa amat mencacatkan Ramadhan kita.

'Warming up' itu perlu. Perbanyakkan amalan puasa sunat.

2- I’dad 'Aqli, yakni persiapan Mental (Mind).

3- I’dad Fikri wa Ilmi, yakni persiapan intelektual dan keilmuan (Knowledge).

Tingkatkan produktiviti, kurangkan kontroversi, hebatkan diri.

Salam Ramadhan 2012

TARBIYAH: RAMADHAN PREPARATION

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

TARBIYAH: RAMADHAN PREPARATION

Ramadhan, preparation on progress?

Checklist?
Brothers and Sisters Ramadhan is only a month away. Are we prepared? We know from Sunnah that the Sahabah would prepare 6 months before Ramadan. InsyaAllah lets remind each other about this blessed month of Ramadhan.

A lot of us yearn to prepare for Ramadhan, but we have no idea how to start. Below are a few tips to insyaAllah help prepare our minds and hearts for this upcoming Month of Mercy.

Ramadan Self Improvement Checklist is for those who wish to increase their good deeds and piety during the month of Ramadan. Click Here to download Ramadan Checklist.

For more information you can also check our Ramadan Resources.

1. Making the Intention

Simple to do and has a powerful impact. Maybe you want to prepare for Ramadan, but between study, work, family, and any other activities, you just have no idea how to fit in ‘Preparing for Ramadhan’ time. Instead of making ‘preparing for Ramadhan’ something separate from your daily activities, MAKE your daily activities a means of preparation for Ramadhan.

For example, perhaps your mom asked you to pick up your brother from school on the day you finally had time to read a few extra pages of Qur’an. Instead of feeling upset and feeling like you have lost a great preparation for Ramadan opportunity, make the intention that you are picking up your brother to please Allah SWT and prepare for Ramadan by obeying your mother, helping your family members, building ties of kinship… and the list continues.

The point is that preparing for Ramadhan does not have to be some magnificent, enormous, extra-special thing that needs to be done at a certain time of the day. Many of your daily actions can be turned into Ramadhan preparation actions with a sincere intention, insyaAllah.

2. Do these easy-to-reap-reward actions:

Asking Allah to forgive your brothers and sisters. “Whoever seeks forgiveness for believing men and believing woman, Allah will write for him a good deed for each believing man and believing woman.” [at-Tabarani, classed as hasan by al-Albani]

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (r.a) said “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: ‘Whoever says subhanAllahi wa bi hamdih (praise and glory be to Allah) 100 times, morning and evening, his sins will be erased even if they are like the foam on the sea.” Narrated by al-Bukhari, 6042; Muslim 2691

If a person says “SubhanAllah” (glory be to Allah) 100 times, a thousand good deeds are recorded for him and a thousand bad deeds are wiped away. Narrated by Muslim 2073

Remember Allah when you go shopping : “Whoever enters a market and says: ‘Laa ilaha illallah wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu yuhyi wa yumeetu wa huwa hayyun laa yamoot, bi yadihil khair, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shayin qadeer’[there is nothing worthy of worship except Allah, alone without partner, to Him belongs dominion and praise, He causes life and death and He is the Living and does not die. In His Hand is all the good, and He is over all things competent]Allah will write for him/her a million good deeds and erase a million bad deeds and raise him a million levels.” [at-Tirmidhi, classed as hasan by al-Albani]

3. Up your worship

To help condition your heart for this blessed month, intensify your worship before Ramadhan begins. Just a small, consistent amount is enough. The Prophet, peace be upon him told us:

“The deeds most loved by Allah are those done regularly, even if they are small.”

For example, if I always pray 2 rakats of sunnah after isyak, from this day until Ramadan begins- and even through Ramadan, let me make the intention that I will now pray 2 extra rakaats of sunnah after isyak. And every time I pray these extra 2 rakaats, which are more than what I normally pray, let me remember that I am doing these with the intention of asking Allah to help me be prepared to strive and exert my utmost effort during Ramadhan.

4. Make a duaa list today

This is THE MONTH to ask for EVERYTHING, both related to this life and the Next. Let us not wait until the last 10 nights to make special duaas, and then once Eid passes realize that we had completely forgotten about fifty other things we needed to make duaa for. Let us start making our lists now, and add to it as more things come our way. Insha’Allah this should help us remember to make constant duaa in this month where duaa is accepted, and help our hearts pour out to the One Who can make those duaas happen, subhanahu wa ta’ala.

5. Write out your objectives for Ramadan

Praying all of your fard prayers? Praying all of your sunnahs? Reading the entire Qur’an? Giving RM1 charity a day? Making i'tikaaf in the masjid? Leaving one serious sin that you’ve been trying to get away from for some time now? Sincerely turning completely back to Allah?

Write out a list, put them somewhere you will see them, and make duaa for your success in fulfilling these objectives.

6. Make a plan!

Look at your objectives, and try to make a plan on how to actualize those objectives in this month.

For example, perhaps you are really struggling to pray your sunnah prayers. In this month, realize the enormity of the ajr of praying the sunnah prayers… think that perhaps these sunnahs will be the deeds that will be so heavy on your scale of good deeds when you are intense need of them- on yowm al-qiyamah (day of judgement). Therefore, fight to keep doing them all throughout Ramadan. If you can’t pray your 2 rakats after zuhur right away, make sure to do them as soon as you get a chance.

Thus, your plan might look something like this:

Objective: Pray all of my fard prayers.

Method: Envision myself on the day of judgment seeing the insyaAllah weight of praying my sunnah consistently during this month. Make sure to pray sunnah solah immediately after solah. If I cannot, do it as soon as the opportunity arises… don’t let myself put it off!

Another example is that of finishing the Qur’an [with Understanding]:

Objective: Finishing the entire Qur’an in this month.

Method: Read 4 pages of the Qur’an after every salah. Make sure you understand it. 5 prayers X 4 pages = 20 pages. 20 pages= about 1 juz. 1 juz X 30= the entire Qur’an.

Conclusion

So many Muslims have passed away since last month. So many people have not made it to Ramadhan this year. Last year was their very last Ramadhan. Will you make it to this Ramadhan? Will this be your last Ramadhan?

Aim to strive in this Ramadhan. With a very small amount of effort, such as just making a small intention, or adding a few extra acts of worship, we pray that Allah will help our hearts soften and honor us with making it easy to turn to Him and open up to Him.

May Allah make us of the successful in Ramadhan, and make it easy for us to turn to Him completely and perpetually. Ameen.

Ramadhan Spirit Doesn't Have To End

Bismillahi Ar-Rahmani Ar-Rahim
Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters,

By the grace of Allah, who granted us the chance and opportunity to reach this blessed month of Ramadhan, a month in which the gates of Paradise are opened wide and the gates of the Hellfire are shut, a month wherein we get closer to Him by fasting through the day and praying in the night, a month which contains a night more virtuous than a thousand months. This is a season of forgiveness and the season of unimaginable rewards from Allah the Most Great, Most Merciful, Most Forgiving!

My dear brothers and sisters, this blessed month only stays for a few days and then will eventually leave us, so we should not leave a second or a single moment in this last ten nights without beneficial action and obedience. The last ten nights of Ramadhan is a major time to ask forgiveness. In Hadith Qudsi, Allah said:

O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me,
I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind.

O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you.

O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it. (At-Tirmidhi)

Hence in this last ten nights, Ramadhan spirit doesn't have to end but let’s us keep upgrading our du’a and ask for His forgiveness, take a glimpse and observe how the pious people were consistent in their worships; they would spend their night prayers remembering Allah with humility and make du’a. Their focus on the hereafter and they truly knew the value and blessings of Ramadhan. They were not distracted by meaningless distractions. So, may Allah give us the taufiq to gain full benefit out of this Ramadhan Insya-Allah. O Allah, forgives us, have mercy on us, unite us, and help us all to live our lives for Your pleasure. Ameen.

Ilal liqo, Ma'assalamah.

Electrifying Ramadhan Efficiency

Salam my dear brothers and sisters,

Have you noticed that each year, Ramadhan goes by faster and faster? How much are we missing? Did we really spend most of our time to develop our spiritual needs? Soon, the blessed month of Ramadhan will be leaving us once again. This holy month can’t be left to become a blur in our memories.

The fruit of fasting ought to be that is rich inner which the Quran calls taqwa. Taqwa becomes the key which can unlock all the doors leading to the blessings such as honour, prosperity and freedom from fear and unease in-this-world. Also taqwa leads to success, Paradise and God’s good pleasure in the life-to-come. Hence, within these few days left lets us electrify our Ramadhan to become more efficient in developing the closeness towards Allah.

How? Well, we have to be smart and think about how we can MAXIMIZE the effectiveness we want to earn! Let’s think like a businessman who always concerned on small investment but big profit. Ramadhan is surely the perfect time. So, Inshallah following is a short list of suggested ibadah to share with you guys:

1. Recite some Quran after every Prayer. Actually, if you read 3-4 pages after every Prayer you can finish the entire Quran in Ramadan!

2. Study the Quranic Tafseer every morning. Or whenever you feel free.

3. Learn to control your tongue and lower your gaze. Remember the Prophet's warning that lying, backbiting, and a lustful gaze all violate the fast!

4. Experience the joy of Tahajjud prayers late at night. Allocate and submit yourself purely and fully to Allah.

5. Seek forgiveness and recite istighfar as much as you could:

"Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun kareemun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni"
(O Allah, You are the One who grants pardon for sins, loves forgiving, so forgive me.)

"Astaghfirullah hallazi lailaha illa huwal Hayyul Qayyum wa atubu ilaih"
(I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Almighty, there is no God but He. He is self-Existent, the Eternal and I return to Him)

So, I hope that we gain something out of this Ramadhan. May Allah grant us the ability to change and transform ourselves to be a better slave of Allah and not to be of those who are prevented from His Mercy. May He also allow us all to enter into His Forgiveness in this blessed month of Ramadhan and in all the other Ramadhans we live to see. Ameen. Indeed He is the One who Hears and He is the One to Respond.

Ramadhan: A Spring-Board of Iman

The Prophet s.a.w delivered a Khutbah on the last day of Sya’ban saying:

“O people: You are about to enter the shadow of a great blessed month. A night therein is better than a thousand months. Allah s.w.t made fasting during this month an obligation and encouraged people to perform extra prayers, during its nights. Seeking nearness to Allah s.w.t through good deed would be considered like performing an obligatory act of worship. In turn, performance of an obligatory act of worship during this month would be rewarded 70 times more than during any other month. It is the month of patience, and the reward for patience is Jannah. It is the month of conforting others, and the month during which believers would enjoy plentifulness.

The Prophet s.a.w went on to say: “Make sure you frequently do four things, two of which would please your Lord and the other two are indispensable for your salvation in the Hereafter. As for the two things that would please your Lord, they are: testifying to the oneness of Allah s.w.t and seeking repentance. And the other two are: asking Allah the favour of entering Jannah and seeking refuge in Him from the Hell Fire.”

Multiply Your Ramadan Experience!!!

Ramadan Mubarak to everyone! May Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) make this a most blessed and beneficial month for you all, and a source of taqwa and iman for the whole year, ameen!
